These terms apply to your use of this website and to any order, catering booking, gift set or workshop you arrange with Small Potato BIG Dream Limited (小薯大夢, “we”, “us” or “our”). By using our website or confirming an order with us, you agree to these terms. Where your written quotation or order confirmation says something different, the quotation or confirmation applies to that order.
Our products and services
We offer handmade desserts, event catering, corporate gift sets and baking workshops. Every item is made by hand in small batches, so size, colour and decoration may vary slightly from the photographs on our website. Some items and flavours are seasonal and depend on availability.
Prices and quotations
Prices shown on our website are for reference only. All prices are subject to our official quotation, which sets out the items, quantities, fees and any minimum order that apply to you. We may correct any error in prices or descriptions before an order is confirmed.
Confirming an order
An order or booking is confirmed only when both of the following have happened:
- we have sent you a written quotation or order confirmation; and
- we have received the deposit or payment stated in it.
Minimum order quantities, minimum spend, lead times and deposit amounts are set out in your quotation and in the relevant sections of this website. Please book early, especially for festive seasons, as our capacity is limited.
Payment
Deposits are non-refundable once an order is confirmed, because we purchase ingredients, packaging and arrange staff for your order. The balance is payable as stated in your invoice. We may withhold delivery if payment has not been received.
Changes and cancellations
- Small changes to quantities can usually be made up to four days before your event, as long as each item still meets its minimum order.
- If you cancel a confirmed order, the deposit is kept, and we may charge for any items already prepared or materials already purchased for you.
- If we cannot fulfil an order for reasons beyond our control, such as a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above, a Black Rainstorm Warning, or a government restriction, we will offer a new date or refund the amounts you have paid for anything not delivered.
Delivery, set-up and equipment
Delivery fees depend on the delivery area. Please make sure we can access the venue at the agreed time and that someone is available to receive the order. Display stands and other equipment we lend remain our property; you are responsible for them while they are at your venue, and a rental fee or deposit may apply.
Allergens, food safety and storage
Our kitchen handles common allergens, including nuts, peanuts, wheat and gluten, milk, eggs, soy and sesame. We provide allergen information on request, but we cannot guarantee that any item is completely free from traces of allergens. Please tell us about any allergies or dietary requirements before you confirm your order.
Our products contain no preservatives. Please follow the storage and consumption guidance we give you. We are not responsible for any problem caused by incorrect storage or by eating a product after the recommended period.
Workshops
Participants must follow our trainers’ instructions and kitchen safety rules. Children must be supervised by a parent, guardian or teacher throughout. We may ask anyone who behaves unsafely to stop taking part. Group size, venue and duration are as stated in your quotation.
We may take photographs at our events and workshops to share our work. If you or your organisation prefer not to be photographed or featured, please let us know before the event.
Your logos and artwork
If you give us a logo, message or artwork for stickers, packaging or products, you confirm that you have the right to use it and allow us to reproduce it for your order. You are responsible for any claim that your content infringes someone else’s rights.
Intellectual property
The content of this website, including text, photographs, our name, logo and mascot, belongs to Small Potato BIG Dream Limited or the people who licensed it to us. Please do not copy or reuse it without our written permission.
Using our website
Please use our website lawfully. Do not try to interfere with its operation, gain unauthorised access to it, or use its forms to send spam. We may update, suspend or change the website at any time. Links to other websites and platforms, including WhatsApp and social media, are provided for convenience; those services have their own terms.
Our liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under the laws of Hong Kong, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you confirm an order applies to that order.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the courts of Hong Kong have jurisdiction over any dispute.
Language
These terms are available in English and Chinese. In case of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the English and Chinese versions, the English version shall prevail.
